Yesss!!And the moment I awaited for finally came "... AND THE OSCAR GOES TO A.R .RAHMAN"

The man with the phenomenal glory came to the stage received the award and   the golden Oscar statuette ornamented his hands!!

Speak now or forever hold your peace!! so he spilled his words!!.....

He commenced with the phrase ”Mere paas maa hai!!’’  (I have nothing but I have a mother) with that serene smile…

He once proved that a great man is always willing to be little with that phrase. Each and every chapter of his life book has the line “ELLA PUGAZHUM IRAIVANUKKE” and he also set the seal to his speech with this SUNDHARA TAMIZH phrase.

Softly in the dusk ,Taking me back to the vista of years, till I see His poised speech, Down in the flood of remembrance.

He made his kick-off in the movie ROJA in 1992…fetched him the National Award for Best Music Director, a very rare for a debutant.The music styles he used for this film can be termed , in a  nutshell as enthralling as well as enigmatic. Many music veteran still regard it as his best work to date.This movie especially, is not just music but the amalgamation of his soul with the narration .An evince of unprecedented genius work in play.... predominantly the portions where he hums,"yalailooo yalae yalailoooo..." For god’s sake I’m telling this He is mind blowing!! even the Flute unequalled flow in mildly melancholic scale.

And please listen to the music of THIRUDA THIRUDA…You will be amazed when you  know that it was released in 1993. Infact, he was a trail-blazer  in electronic music he introduced us to hitherto unknown synthesizer sounds combined with Indian melodies. The intricate hummings  of the acapella RASAATHI touches persons longing to be out of solitude ,touches the sub-conscious rather than the live moments such a wonderful orchestration.

 I always believe that even the smallest of things can make any form of art cherishable. And ARR’s intricate touches, may it be the wondrous clanking sound of the glass in PUTHU VELLAI MAZHAI or the throughout thumping train sound in CHAIYYA CHAIYYA. These magical touches by the maestro just enhances the experience of seeing a movie or the song eventhough we rarely or mostly fail to realize.

That train sound which he makes , if we think for a minute we will realize that …without it what the series of scenes in the song would have been?? nothing!!

His music is like giving feelings to the life called words penned down by VAIRAMUTHU,VAALI,THAMARAI,who not?

His music is like adding “Brammandam to a Brammandam” sculptured by the Shankar sir!!. How can Manirathnam bring out Rahman’s intensive best every time they squad up!.From the peppy to mellifluous , the song transcends the feel from jubilance to exhilaration. When you hear PARANDHU SELLA VAA  it’s like you are already flying Soothing music from the Maestro – The Man with not a BONE OF NEGATIVITY 

Whenever you hear his songs you will be like…

  Ehhh!!..What a worst song Uff!! wait!!! Mmmmm not bad ... then later...Yeahhh!! kinda getting better!!!....now I’m  addicted….a slow poison!!!!

Literally each and every composition of him should be given an  OSCAR!!

that amazing the song was the sounds he infused in it,Goddd!! Mann!!.And In MARYAN “AAGAYATHIL NOORU NILAKAL...” an almost continuous strain having streak of beautiful sounds and the chromatic note “ANGANGAEYY” IS THE KILLER!!

These are not just words my rumination reflected right from my childhood whenever I hears his music. Without his music I couldn’t  imagine a world .While hearing his music during nights, I feel like nights are more colourful than day!!

Thank you RAHMAN SIR!! For letting me to know how to admire even a little thing whether it is a tingling sound of piano keys or A hole in the bamboo stick brings out a soul-touching music!!
